This photo isn’t anything too fancy, however I really like this photograph because I managed to get a clear sharp focus on the insect and managed to capture the water droplets as well in the tiny depth of field
! I used my kit lens, 18mm-75mm, so it wasn’t a special macro lens. The other factor in this photograph is the clarity achieved from such a large original ( however, reduced the quality for the web), which wouldn’t have been possibly with a low pixel count, whereas 14.2 mega-pixels does help a lot when cropping down!

On February - 20 - 2010
Kane is a remarkable photographer and I enjoy following his photographs on Flickr, while receiving awesome inspiration and learning fresh techniques
.
Kane’s Autobiography (from Flickr profile):
My name is Kane Gledhill, I am 27 years old.
I live in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
I’ve been a keen photographer for over 15 years; I picked up my first SLR camera when I was still in school, back when I lived in New Zealand. It was a Vivitar v2000 and it cost me $300.00 cash! I’ve probably put 100′s of rolls of film through this little gem, I’d never sell.
