Shot of the Day #37

On June - 6 - 2010

This long exposure is of a Road Train travelling along the Stuart Highway not far out from Alice Springs. I was standing just off to the side of the road with my camera and tripod when this massive (only) 2 trailer Road Train came howling past. The red and orange LED lights made excellent light streams, but unfortunately my camera’s sensor was too hot to expose long enough to capture the stars (so clear in the Outback) :P !

Shot of the Day #36

On May - 15 - 2010

Long Exposure photography is my number one technique to use, and I love finding new things to try with long shutter speeds. This photograph is one of my crazy exposures that involves no perfected skill to create, it is purely blurred streams of light produced by waving my camera around with the shutter open :P ! I think it makes a great Desktop Image for your computer, it’s mine at the moment!
