Shot of the Day #73

For some of us summer is almost over, and that means so are the sizzling barbeques & sandy beaches – its a very unhappy thought:( Anyway, before we get all depressed about the seasons and fleeting memories, lets just remember that we will always have our ‘steal’ photographs…they steal the moment for us! Ok, terrible joke aside lets just get to the photo.

So, earlier this month I with all the bridal party were down at the beach doing a wedding shoot. While everyone was getting out of the cars I was scouting out the place, and stumbled upon this amazing scene. I mean how cool is this, just chillin’ on the beach, on a sofa! Surf Life Savers all over Australia do a tremendous job, and I think their loving attitude for the service can be witnessed right here. This has got to be one of the top ten summer shots for me, thanks for posing for the camera:)

Again, using the Carl Zeiss 85mm F1,4, what an amazing lens it is. I purposely blew out the highlights to give that warm summer glow, but I couldn’t really make it to 1.4 (only f2.8) – without changing the angle away from the sun.
