This photograph has been a great stepping stone for me, even though I nearly deleted it immediately after taking it – thinking it was no good! It was recently published (September 1 2010) in “The Daily Book of Photography” as one of the photographs in the Gallery of Inspiration Day 49/365! This is the first time I have been published in a Hard-cover book, which I’m very happy about! My photograph was chosen for the technique in which I produced ‘Lens Zoom-Blur Effect’, a simple effect but one that is tricky to perfect well. I think it is a great read for beginners and photographer’s looking for inspiration!
Tilt-Shift Photography is a great technique to experiment with and if you don’t want to spend your money on a new lens then it is possible to replicate the effect, and in this tutorial I’ll show you how to achieve this effect!
This is a tutorial on how to recreate light leaks on photographs similarly to the those found on film photos that have been exposed to light via a crack or gap in the case. It is not as sharp and defined as most light leaks, as a softer finish is more appealing in this case.
